in computers, our fundamental unit of measurement is the bit… a bit is a state that represents on or off; numerically, 1 or 0… similarly, good and evil are two ideas in which one exists at the polar opposite of the other… the difference between good and evil can be described as thus: good is when everyone is satisfied and happy, bad is when YOU are satisfied and happy at the cost of another’s satisfaction and happiness… bread always strives to do that which is good…

today, i watched two videos: first is a documentary on the trial of the pirate bay founders, second is about a young man who lived life to its fullest until the yesterday, when he passed away from bone cancer… the first video made me realize just how much potential i have to bring about good change to this world… the latter showed me just how much i’ve failed to tap into that potential… but i will go to sleep tonight, and wake up tomorrow to try again… for that, i am truly blessed…

my dad came home from work with a 4 foot tall stuffed banana

and i mean my dad’s a software engineer

so all in all this is highly suspicious

i asked my dad about the banana and

apparently every so often, the engineers pair up and do “paired programming” except there’s an odd number of engingeers

so someone gets paired with the banana

the amount of attack ads i’ve seen in the past three hours on csn (a philly sports channel) are absurd…

i really pray for a day that politicians use their money to show their credentials rather than to give reasons why the opponent isn’t the right choice.

regardless, if youre registered, make sure you go out and vote tomorrow. you have an opinion on how things should be run on this country. let it be heard!

Pay close attention to how Dell stammers when the reporter asks him that with the tablets already out there, why would we want to get a new one?

It had to be within the last week, but NBA.com totally changed their website from using archaic Flash-based technology to HTML5. Looks a lot cleaner and their mobile site is really nice too.

Over the next few months, expect to see lots of websites being revamped with more “modern” interface. I guess the standard of modern interfaces started with Google. If you on Gmail, you’ll notice all the buttons with rounded corners and the user-friendly font, and slowly, you’ll see alot of websites start to look extremely similar to that.

How do you know if a website is written in HTML5? Right click anywhere on the page and click “view page source”. Look up at the top, and if it just says “<!DOCTYPE html>”, you got an html5 page. If it says “<!DOCTYPE …” followed by a lot of stuff before you hit the “>”, it’s based on an older standard of html.
